Slowly, but surely

I had a very busy day at work so I was tired when I got home. I ended up doing two loads of laundry, fixed some dinner, and got 9 more 16-patch blocks sewn together.

I have 27 more to sew together and then I will start making tops.
I have these pieces left over and I will sew these together to make a few more 16-patch blocks. I will match up the Kona and prints the best I can.
I had a goal this month to read a book. The book has 520 pages and I am on page 190. I will keep plowing thru it. I have finally gotten to the point of the forming of Led Zeppelin and touring America.

I, too, am surprised how much longer it takes to finish a book these days. I read more slowly and am more distracted. But the books are interesting and worth the time.

Are you enjoying the book?

It seems like I see the same authors month after month on the best seller lists. They seem to churn out books at record speed. Some of the best books I have read are by Michner. I miss his epic sagas. I miss reading a book I can't put down. Maybe the Harlan Coben book I just got will be a good one.
