One busy weekend!

What a busy weekend! I was up early on Saturday to make a batch of oatmeal raisin cookies before I headed out to get my hair cut. Once I got home I got things together and headed to my brother's house with the cookies and my stuff I needed for the road trip. Michael had a show in Sandusky at the Ohio Bike Week. Motorcycles everywhere! We got the gear unloaded and my SIL and I got the merchandise booth set up. It was not too long before I was selling stuff. Here is some of the crowd in the area we were at. There were several stages with bands playing downtown and another stage out at the fairgrounds. The crowd liked the show Michael and his band put on. Many people came up to me and were surprised that he was only 19.

I sold lots of CD's and t-shirts! After we got the merch booth packed up and the trailer loaded, my SIL and I walked down to the lake which we could see from where we were. Last year Michael played on the floating stage that was right in the lake. It make him sick with the movement so he was glad to be on solid ground this time!

I didn't get to work on my R.E.M. quilt very much since I was so busy at the merch booth, but I worked on it most of the day on Sunday. I got the yellow t-shirt done! Here is a shot of the front and back.

and a close-up of the stitching

I got started on the denim area next to the yellow shirt. It's fun to come up with a stitching design for each of the denim areas.

I saw this car Friday in the school parking lot. It was fuchsia metallic and just sparkled in the sun. I have never seen a car this color. It had to be a custom paint job.

There is a hawk hanging around the job site. It is big! I would guess it is about 18" tall. I don't know what kind it is, but it is a beautiful bird.

Here are my goodies I found this morning. It was hard to walk since I we still a bit tired from the long day Saturday and the humidity was 84%. The humidity just takes the life out of me. I hope the humidity goes down today. I need to mow tonight. The backyard looks like a hayfield!

I love seeing the custom painted cars. I know their insurance is higher on them so I'll not consider doing it.

I had no idea that your nephew was so young! I love seeing young people so dedicated to their art!
