The table got taken down and I could hang the shirts for the next Harley quilt. This one is for the raffle for the poker run in August. This will be the 10th year for me making a quilt for this event. It finally came to me how I was going to arrange the t-shirts for this quilt. I am glad to have a plan and have been sorting thru these piles of t-shirts to find the right size of motifs that will work for what I want to do. I do some of my best thinking in the shower and I came up with an idea for next year's quilt. I think I will go ahead and cut those pieces at the same time I cut what I need for this year's quilt. I thought I would show you my progress on those two angel cross stitch pieces. They are coming along nicely. You can see that they are different sizes. One is on 28 count lugana and the other is 32 count evenweave.

3rd finish for 2025, cutting and sorting strips, next quilt, and then there is more!
I stayed home all weekend to try and get progress made on several fronts. I got that second neutral baby quilt done. It measures 40.5" x 49" and will go into the stash. I pieced three quilt tops last year and I am happy to get them turned into finished quilts.
I spend most of my time on Saturday cutting strips from that order of reproduction fabric that I received last week. After washing and drying I had quite a pile of fabric. I think there were 25 pieces ranging in size from 16" to 1 1/2 yards. I had noted on my order to send whatever they had because many of the pieces were listed at the shop only having a half yard. Here is just part of the pile that needed pressed then cut.
I would layer three pieces which would be six layers at a time to cut. I had a new sharp blade so cutting thru six layers was easy.
I cut two strips at 3 1/2" and four at 2 1/2" of each print if I had enough fabric.
I only had received a 16" piece of that red fabric, so I had to figure out the best way to get the most out of that piece.
It took me 2 and a quarter hour to get that fabric pressed and cut. I had a small stack of pieces left over which I will be able to cut any additional strips or triangles out of as needed
I was on a roll, so I decided to cut more strips from other reproduction fabric I had. I also had some smaller odd shaped pieces that I cut up. This bunch was 33 pieces with a half dozen odds and ends.
Three hours later I had a nice pile of strips.
I then took all the 2 1/2" strips I cut along with all the 2 1/2" strips that were cut on my visit to Pennsylvania and sorted them by color. I made a place on one of the guest beds to keep them for now. It will be nice to just grab a stack by color!
Sunday morning I got the next baby quilt pin based and it is now 50% quilted.
Both Saturday and Sunday I would work on something for a few hours then switch jobs and do something else. One of those jobs was to get this table cleaned off so I could take it down and use the design wall.

You had a very productive weekend! It's a good thing you had the baby quilt tops ready for some early in the year finishes.
