Binding sewn on
I got the binding machine sewn on so now on to the hand sewing! This binding was narrower than what I ususlly use. The binding was left over from a wedding ring quilt I reconstructed several years ago. I had made way too much bias binding at 2 3/8", but I kept it just in case. Well, it got used up! I usually cut my binding 3" wide on the straight of grain.

i cut binding at 2 3/4" - my hands don't like having to work so hard to pull it over if it's narrower ... and i clip it with hair clips every three or four inches so i don't have to hold it so tightly when stitching it down - the clips make a lotta noise when they touch the wood floor - click click clickety click
