Some nice progress

I worked on the R.E.M. piece quite a bit this weekend. It is surprising how long it takes to make a dent in what needs embroidered. I finished up the olive colored shirt. Here is the before

and after

Then I got back to working on the Vote for Change shirt. I stitched around Bright Eyes, John Fogarty, the Vote For Change 2004, stitched around the big star on the guitar, and got started on the other Vote for Change.

I love the look of hand stitching and it adds so much to the quilt. My hands are sore just looking at it though. Keep at it while you are young because the fingers don't work as well when you get old.
