Pink quilt progress, chimney cleaning, and postcard

I am now at 73% done with the quilting on the pink quilt.
Yesterday morning I had a hair appointment. As I was heading home I was going to stop at the Goodwill to look for picture frames and then decided it was too cold to go back outside with wet hair so I just headed home. I was like 20 degrees with a 11 MPH wind. I was almost home and the chimney cleaning guys called me; they were six minutes out! They were schedule for 1:30, but the lady had called and said they might be a bit early because another customer did not respond to the reminder call. It's a good thing I didn't go to the Goodwill because they showed up at 11:30!  They pulled in the driveway about 3 minutes after I got home.  The chimney, which I have never used the fireplace, is now cleaned and they found no problems. I still won't use it. I want to eventually get either a wood burner or a pellet stove installed.
The fellow gave me a cute fridge magnet!
The fellow saw that I made quilts and said he wished he could find someone to put a zipper in his jacket. I looked at the jacket and told him I could do that. He was ecstatic. So now I need to order a zipper along with some 12" lightweight zippers to make more of those small pouches I gave away last Xmas. Remember these? I only have a few zippers left and I have a commission for 24 pouches.
I received my postcard from Vicki and isn't it cute? I love it! Thank you, Vicki!
I had a glitch in my shopping adventures. I had ordered 6 yards of a fabric I wanted for a quilt, and the shop contacted later to say they only had 2 2/3 on hand. Geeze! Inventory accuracy people! I told them to cancel my order. I googled the fabric brand and number and got a hit at a shop in Texas. They had six yards and it was on sale! The fabric was shipped the next day too! I will give you all the info on this shop once I get my order. They are definitely going on my favorites list!

i don't use my fireplace, either - my brother traded his wood stove insert for something i had (don't remember the details - it was a looooong time ago) and i never learned how to use it ... we have more "no burn" days than not and fires have always scared me

anywho, the pink quilt keeps getting better and better!

I don't use my fireplaces but have never had the chimney cleaned. I guess that should be on the list in case I even want to sell my house.
