Quilting almost done, cupcakes, and bring on the noise!

I am now done with 85% of the quilting on the log cabin flannel quilt which I worked on most of Sunday.
Saturday was busy. I had to run some errands and baked cupcakes from scratch for a birthday. It was a vanilla butter cake with a cooked caramel icing. The cake was very tender and the icing tasted like pralines.
I spent some time kitting a few cross stitch projects. That job always seems to take longer than you think it would.
One of my errands included picking up these small containers that arrived at the store. I didn't need 50, but they were very inexpensive so I figure I can use the extra ones for little things. I now have more than enough to set my supplements up for weeks! They even came with labels!
Saturday evening I went to a marching band show. Someone I knew was marching. It was not a judged event, but just a way the kids could show off their hard work. Some of the bands were very small. The first picture is one entire band.  The person I went to see is in the drum section of the second picture.
Rounding out the weekend was laundry and getting the kitchen cleaned up from the baking. Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday, so I will have to tidy up the front yard tonight. Mowing, trimming, and pulling a few weeds will taking place.
