Sewing, cookies, a show, and 3 blimps
It has been a busy couple of days. The tote bag handles are top stitched
These boxy pouches were made for a gift
All three blimps were flying around town to celebrate 100 years of the blimp. One of the fellows sent me a picture of them flying over the job site and I got one of them flying over our parking lot
I took Thursday off so I could work Michael's show in Sandusky for Ohio Bike Week. The weather was awful. It rained and then heavy mist. You could hardly see Cedar Point which on a clear day you can. Everything was wet and it was chilly. When I left my house it was 80 so I didn't bring a jacket. That was a mistake! The temp in Sandusky was 63 with an 8 MPH wind. I ended up buying a flannel shirt since that was all I could find. Apparently I haven't learned my lesson from the last show where I had to buy a jacket! LOL!!! Despite the rain we had a decent crowd.
Before I had left for the show I needed to fix the tent cover that had gotten ripped at the last show and I made a double batch of oatmeal raisin cookies. They always have young men help us unload our equipment and they help move everything after the show to the trailer which we have to park a quarter mile away from the stage. The cookies when over real big! They inhaled them! Every time I saw the guys they would thank me again and again. I wish I had made more.
I got to bed and closed my eyes at 1 A.M. I hurt all over when I got up, but I took a couple Excedrin and I am now ready to get something accomplished today.

When I was a child I remember what an event it was to see a blimp flying over our farm.
It sounds like you should have a jacket packed in with your totes for the shows. Then it will probably be hot for the rest of the shows all season.
That sounds like an exhausting day. Glad you didn't catch cold from being out in the rain.
