Binding progress, watering, and X stitch projects.

I am plugging away on the hand stitching the binding. I only have 12 more inches to sew. After that I have a bit more in the ditch stitching that won't take very long and this project will be done.
I needed to go outside to water the plants since it is so hot. It was 93 at 6:30 p.m. It took me about an hour. I have one flower bed I didn't get watered, so tonight it will be first to get a drink. That heat just sucked the life out of me!
I have been cross stitching a little. I have to still stitch the stems in on the right side of the John Wick sampler. I think I will work on the left side next and then figure out how to work the bottom border.
I like to have a project to stitch when I am just sitting at the merch booth before shows. I found this sampler on ebay for sale and took a couple screen shots.
There is a lot of stitching to do that I don't need to look at the picture for. I did figure out last week that I made a mistake in the zig zag border. It should be 3 X's wide and not 4. Oh well, I will make it work! I can just stitch the borders and the rows between the lettering and not have to count or look at the picture. Here is where I am so far.

You made fast progress on that quilt. Yes, heat sucks the energy out. I'm skipping watering this morning in hopes of rain this afternoon.

Hoping you didn't have to cover up with that quilt when you were stitching the last of the binding. Yes it was super hot last night. The pool water temp was 92 and felt wonderful. My husband asked me what I was going to do with the temps so hot and my plants (if I was going to water them when the sun started to go down or not.) I told him I wasn't worried about it because it was going to rain... He looked at the sky, no dark clouds in sight. He looked at his phone. No rain predicted. He went to bed around 9pm. All the windows were wide open as we do not do air conditioning (I don't like it.) He had just fallen asleep when the wind kicked up. Then there was thunder and lightening. All of a sudden it started pouring down rain! Ahhh. What a nice way to cool things off for the evening. He got up because it was raining in the bedroom and just looked at me in disibelief. He didn't say a word. He knows he married a farm girl and doesn't need to here me say, "told ya".

Where is that fun John Wick project going to land? That's hilarious. Stay cool.
