Pouches- done, comforter - done, and more!

I was trying hard to keep my energy levels up for day three of the long weekend. First thing I attacked was getting the curved topped pouches made for Wanda as a thank you for the tote bag fabric. Wanda had sent me a third of a yard of this grape and wood slice fabric plus an already quilted piece of fabric.
She said she had gotten the fabric quilted but hadn't gotten around to make the pouch. I trimmed out the pouch to size so now it is done.
For the 1/3rd yard, I was able to get a large and a medium pouch.
There was a good-sized piece left over, but it was not big enough for even the small curved top pouch. Instead of adding to my scrap pile, I layered the pieces and trimmed as little off as possible to square up the piece.
This is the pouch that was the result. I will get these shipped today.
Next I headed outside to mow and trim the front and one side yard. After that I went back to the comforter to continue repairing it. After a couple hours, the comforter was done! It is all boxed up and ready to ship today. I did spend a bit of time cleaning up in the studio - wastebaskets needed emptied and it needed a vacuuming.
I headed out to get gas - I had less than 1/8th of a tank - then went downtown to the protest. I took my drum and refurbished mallet to go make some noise. The crowd was small compared to other events. The mallet worked great and I met some nice people while I was there.
Once I got home, I was pretty tired. That drum got heavy quick even though it was only a three-block walk. I needed to repair two pairs of pants, so I got that done and called it a day. I was tired.
The leather jacket is sitting at the sewing machine. The cuffs are so much softer since I soaked them in that conditioner. So overall I did pretty good on my list for the 3 day weekend. I want to get the jacket done in the next couple of days.
