Where have I been?

No I did not fall off the face of the earth. Here is a recap - Saturday I had lunch with a friend that I had not seen in several years and I had last minute company. This meant doing some cleaning, grocery shopping, and cooking dinner. What a crazy, fun day.

Sunday was all about finishing the t-shirt quilt. I got the binding done, but needed to applique on two sleepers. I still have to finish stitching on the red and white outfit.

The temperature on Sunday was in the mid 50's so I went out walking and stopped at the store to get some Cold-Eeze. Yes, I started with another cold! I didn't take Cold-Eese when I had the last one, so I thought I would give it a try. Even though I wasn't feeling great I also walked to an estate sale in the area. I got four 22-24" zippers for a buck.

Monday we had out annual company meetings. I found a table in the far corner of the room to try and stay away from everyone so I didn't give them my germs. Here is my space stocked with Kleenex, hand sanitizer, hot tea, and Cold-Eese.

While sitting there all day I knitted. I didn't take my scarf because I didn't want to deal with three skeins of yarn, so I took a baby blanket that I started a while ago. I ended up knitting an entire skein minus one row! I knitted that last row to use up the skein when I got home and then added the next skein. You can see how many rows I got done. It is the section between the needles and where I tied the yarn together. We have more meetings on the 19th so I will probably work on it again then.

I didn't get home until later than usual since the meeting ran late and I had a 15 mile drive. I was feeling pretty awful. I forced myself to do dishes and appliqued a bit, but I was tired. I do feel a bit better today so maybe the cold-eese is working.

How nice to be able to knit during a meeting. I always hated all the time I wasted in those meetings. How you feel better soon!

I think the Cold-Eeze shortens the duration of a cold. Lots of rest and lots of fluids too. I hope you are feeling great soon.
