Status of the baseball quilts
Between gathering the recycling, trash, and a phone call, I managed to get the quilting done on the chevron baseball quilt.
I laid out the strips for more log cabin blocks next to the sewing machine. I will need to cut more strips for sure, but I will cut them as I need them so I don't end up with too many leftover bits.

Almost quilted and some fun mail
I am now 75% done with quilting the chevron baseball quilt. I will get that finished tonight then start to make more blocks for the log cabin baseball quilt. I want to get it done then bind both at the same time.
I had ordered some cross stitch stuff last week and two of my three orders were waiting for me at the front door when I got home from work. I don't have a roof over the front door and the packages were soaked from sitting in the rain. I was able to rip open the small box with my bare hands since it was so wet. The water had only soak thru the first layer of cardboard so the corrugated layer between the outside and inside was still dry. In the box was this lovely pair of Dovo scissors from the Silver Needle in Tulsa OK.
They also included this cute freebee chart.
The other package was a manila envelope and I was concerned since I knew there was a chart and fabric inside. The envelope was a bubble envelope so the bubble layer kept everything dry - whew! This is the first chart I have bought in years and thought these smalls were cute.
I watch several cross stitch floss tubers videos and I hear them all the time raving about Lakeside Linen and how hard it is to find ever since the pandemic. I found a couple pieces at 123Stitch. I bought a FQ of 28 count and a fat eight of 32 count to try out this brand of linen.

Progress on the baseball quilt, sampler finish and a sampler start
I got started on quilting the chevron baseball quilt. I am about 1/3 done with the quilting.
Six of the log cabin blocks are done for the larger baseball quilt. 25 more blocks to make.
I finished the sampler. There was some blank space toward the bottom so I added some stitching which I circled.
Here is the next cross stitch piece I will work on. It was a freebee from Just Stitching Along in 2020. It is a bit different from other samplers that I have done.
Here is my small start. I am using DMC and 32 count linen in a color called lambswool.

Top progress, sampler progress, and daffodils
The other half of the baseball chevron quilt is sewn together. I plan on trying to get a start on the quilting this weekend.
I got a box this week from my sister with t-shirts from her daughter to make into a quilt. Add it to the list!
Here was the sampler on March 30
Here is what it looks like now. I should be able to finish stitching it this weekend.
The daffodils have made a pretty good recovery from being crushed by that late snowfall we had.
The daffodils in the yard weren't as tall when the snow fell so they did get pushed over. Lots of flower heads! Somebody needs to clean that bed up!
The weather is not looking all that great on Saturday, but Sunday it is suppose to get up to 52 and partly sunny which is not too bad. Maybe some outside work can happen. Have a great weekend!

Baseball chevron quilt top
I worked on sewing together the baseball chevron quilt last night. I got the left side sewn together and four rows of the right side. Let's see if I can get this top finished this evening.

Sewing on patches
The fellow in the next cubical at work ordered some patches from the same place I got that Ukrainian flag patch. Yesterday he brought me three jackets to sew the patches on and I did that last night. He was very happy to get the jackets back this morning.
For my labor he paid for these three patches which I will sew on my AC/DC hoodie.
The patches came from Patch Addict.com and they were very nice quality. They are located in Austin, TX and the shipping was fast!

Harley quilt picture and more baseball fabric
So here is the picture of the Harley quilt. I think the checkerboard effect I was going for was successful. I am happy with the way this one turned out. Size wise it is 95" x 84".
This is the print I used on the back.
The last two pieces of baseball fabric I had ordered showed up last night. The green of baseball diamond fabric is much better looking than it was online. It is a nice soft green, not harsh like it looked online.
