21st finish - Ad Hoc Improv Project
My 21st finish is my Ad Hoc Improv Project. I pieced this last year I think - or maybe it was two years ago. It turned out 39.5" long and 40" wide.
My next project will be to finish my piece that I started at QuiltCon in Feb. of 2014 in a class I took with the Gee's Bend quilters. I had them sign my piece.

How lovely to get those signatures! And your first finish here is wonderful too -- love those little yellow triangles! I don't know if I could have stopped there. A challenge for next year!
How did you finish the edges on that? Is it a pillow case or a facing? It's very clean! Great job. :D

How lucky you were to take a Gees Bend class. They are strong admirable women. The other improv is so subtle, but has the two tiny spots of yellow flame, great.
I like your Ad Hoc piece a lot lovely subtle, interesting colours and, as others have said, those clever little spots of yellow. The Gees Bend piece looks full of promise - what a great way to be starting the new year.
I remember that piece from QuiltCon! I love it and am glad you are going to finish it. What a great treasure you will have.

I particularly like the 21st finish, the repetition of the triangle shapes in different shades/same colors is very effective. I too am envious that you got to take the Gee's Bend class. Will look forward to progress on that piece!
