Busy, busy busy!

I didn't have time to post on Friday. Here is what I have been up to. Thursday evening I quilted the border of that quilt. Seven trips around that quilt using four different color of thread. It is now ready for binding.
Friday I got the binding cut for the quilt,
made a mountain of muffins to take on the band's trip to Greensburg, PA for a show. Forty-seven to be exact! I made cinnamon chip and blueberry cornmeal. They went over big! Yes, that is a piece of turquoise thread stuck to my pants!  LOL!!
Made four tote bags for drumheads.
I headed over to my brother's house and squeezed in the van. We had a full van of 10 of us all together! 2 1/2 hours later we were in Greenburg. I had brought two Lenten roses for my friend who was coming to the show. I forgot to take a picture of them. They were 5 year old plants so they had a big root ball. There were lots of people to help unload the trailer and it was a pretty easy load in and out. We got sprinkled on just a little bit. There was a good crowd and they enjoyed the show. The band got a stand ovation at the end.
We don't always get food at venues, but they went all out! There were sub sandwiches - hot and cold, fruit, cheese, ships, a bowl of small wrapped chocolates like twix and M&Ms, beverages, and pizza bits in sausage, pepperoni, and spinach. I had a spinach one and a few pizza ones. They were so good!  The took the guys in the band to a local restaurant for dinner.  The kids said the food was very good.
I got to bed at 1:45 A.M.

  1. This sounds like a much better show than the last one! It's so nice of you to provide treats for everyone.

  2. That sounds like one of the nicer places the band has played at and a dry evening too.
