Small project bags made, more dirt, mowing
I got another four small project bags done.
I mixed up another batch of fill for the ruts and got a bit more filled in. It takes so much more dirt than I thought it would. I am out of sand so there is a trip to Menards in my future.
Since it was so nice outside last evening, after doing the fill dirt I decided to work on mowing the parts of the yard that didn't get mowed a while back. I got one side yard and six passes in the back yard done before I quit at 7 PM.
My neighbor was out mowing too so I had a couple of things to talk to him about. He is more techy than I am so I asked for his guidance of what I need to do to get internet and switch from DISH to streaming TV. I also asked him to go shopping with me for a new smart TV. He was all about going shopping! I need to finally change from Dish to internet since Dish got bought out by Direct TV. Dish was in financial trouble and after talking to my son he figures they are going to raise the price. Well, I just received notice my Dish bill is due and it went up $15.00 since last month. They will probably just keep raising the price. No, they did not notify me that the price was going up.

That is hard work filling the ruts and trying to get them even with the yard height. It took me a couple years to get some filled to the proper height.
It's nice to have a techy person close by.
When school started this year in August, I decided it was time to "cut the cord" on satelite tv. This is before the change with the company being bought out. We already had a Samsung Smart TV. I still could not figure out how to watch the Browns. I bought a nice air antenna. Because we have a Samsung TV we also have Samsung TV Plus (which is free). I can now watch many live TV shows (which includes the basic networks.). Along with the Samsung TV Plus, my husband is happy with all of the drag race and car shows he can watch. We now pay ZERO for the tv that we watch since we invested in the antenna that I got at Best Buy for under $170. When my husband put it on the roof, he put it where he removed the dish. He used the existing wiring (co ax cable) and it was all set. A little bit of programming on the TV and we had local stations. The downfall is that I need to watch my favorite shows live vs. recording them and fast forwarding the commercials and/or watching them at a different time. If we miss something there is no rewind. It's like TV back in the day.
