9-patch flannel block sewing begins

I had a hair appointment after work so by the time I got home I didn't have much time to sew. I did get at least a start on sewing the flannel blocks together.

After I sew each seam I clip the seam allowance corners to eliminate some of the bulk. Yes, those tiny little cut off triangles get everywhere!

The flowers are so pretty at the town I go to get my hair cut. They had these planters everywhere and this one has the prettiest yellow canna in it. The height of the planter was more than 6'.
