I cut up more t-shirts yesterday and here is what the top looks like now. My thought was to put all the dark shirts in the middle and at the corners. The outside edges would be the different, brighter colors of shirts.
I have lots of interesting places represented on these shirts - Belize, Aruba, Kuwait, England, and Switzerland along with shirts from all over the USA.
This weekend I need to make a boxy pouch from this fabric for my sister
Make a cover for this road case for one of my brothers
and I would like to get the Harley t-shirt top sewn together.
What are your big plans for the weekend? Whatever they might be, have a great weekend!

I guess I would be mixing the lighter color shirts into the black ones so the eye bounces from place to place to take it all in and thinking there is a lot of variety here. When they are grouped I don't look around as much. I know you know what you are doing because you have made some fantastic T-shirt quilts in the past.
Wonderful shirts!
I’d be inclined to alternate dark light dark light dark...
Wow! This is truly an international quilt! Or is going to be. My preference would be to have a random layout of dark and colors. Or checkerboard if you have enough of the colored.
This weekend, I'm going to try and do a special blog post about a friend's inherited unfinished quilt top and be asking for advice on how to finish it. Hope you'll chime in!
I think you need to try swapping them around. Test out a few more layouts. You could easily concentrate the darker ones toward the center.
Boy. Touch the wrong button and it send your message off!
I love the idea that the shirts are from all those places!
And I like the colors for the new pouch. I hope to have some time tomorrow to make one myself. Need to get that sucker sent off really soon!
I grew up in Bristol! This is such a great selection of t-shirts. I'm not going to tell you what to do about placement; you are the best at this so I know you'll get it right.
