I made some nice progress on the R.E.M. quilt. I got the all triangles in this area quilted densely and a few lines in the pocket area. I used embroidery floss for the triangles and I am using #8 pearl cotton in the pocket area.
The parking lot was generous this morning with me finding two quarters laying side by side. Only two more days of school remain so after that I don't expect to be finding much of anything.
I don't expect to come across anything all that interesting on my morning walk, but this morning I saw this huge dragonfly sitting on the sidewalk. I had to be 4" across. Maybe the sidewalk was a bit warmer than the air. It was humid this morning but quite cool at 54 degrees. Much nicer to walk in the cooler air. It is suppose to get much hotter starting Friday and into the 90's by Sunday - yuck!

I bet the dragonfly was enjoying the warmth of the cement. We have a cool morning too.....feels so good, especially knowing we are getting 90s over the weekend.
gret progress on the quilt. And great parking lot finds.
Are you changing threads for a reason or just using what you have? I spend hours every year trying to photograph dragonflies and damselflies but they never stay still for me.
