I made some progress on the music quilt over the new year. Of course not as much progress as I wanted since Saturday I had company (it was a wonderful surprise!) and my cold was wearing me out. I did hit it hard on Sunday though. Right now I have it half quilted. I decided to use my go to free motion quilt design as I need to get this quilt done by the 15th. I laid it out on my table to get this shot. All the blocks that are mostly white are done. I will do the red blocks next.
I did go out on New Year's Day to Michael's to get some yarn. I need to knit myself a scarf.
I started knitting and this is what I had done Monday night.
I got 8 more rows done at lunchtime and I watched a movie last night while I knitted so here is what it looks like now.
I could sure use this now since the cold weather showed up!

Your music quilt looks awesome! Very pretty!
I really like the way you do these quilts. I do that same pattern on a number of my quilts on the long arm. Someties it can be pretty dramatic in a sky or background.
Oh, yes. This will be a finish soon! Looks so good.
