Here is the 15th finish for 2015. I used Sulky rayon to quilt the blues and greens and Aurfil to quilt the black.
This was also on my UFO list so this is like killing two birds with one stone. It turned out 31 1/2" x 50 1/4". The blues and greens plus the shibori back were fabrics that I dyed.
The blues and green were scraps leftover from making this quilt.
I also knocked one more item off my UFO list which was mending the holes in this pile of socks. That is my grandmother daring egg. It came in quite handy!
I fixed this tote bag that had a hole in one side and the top of the seams for the sides were coming apart.
My order from Connecting Threads came too. They were having a sale and I needed a variety of fun colors for the baby quilts I need to make. My stash of baby quilts is very low right now.
I have more to show tomorrow of what I accomplished over the last three days. Take care!

Well done! I love the green quilt. Good on you for darning socks. That's a bridge too far for me although the toe socks I wear in winter are expensive enough that I might need to consider it.
I like both of the blue and green quilts. Another off your list, your load is lighter.
Both of your quilts are very beautiful. My favourite colours of course.
Your finished UFO blue and green on the black background is splendid, Patty.
I love the addition of the hand stitches among the machine stitches. gives it a bit of stitching movement!
Congratulations on your finish. I love the colours in this and the one that created the scraps and I like that looking at them both I can see the relationship between them. Also love the photo of the back for the quilting. You are very productive!
What a great idea to post both quilts together. Love the one bit of yellow as well as the layout of the 15th finish. Then to see the effect of yellow sprinkled across various blues and greens in the parent quilt. Of course, I love the columns; what a good plan to build each out of its own pair of fabrics.
The threadwork on your shibori quilt is so interesting, too. Love the combination of close machine quilting, thread color changes and hand quilting.
Thanks for linking up with AHIQ.
Nice work on the hand stitching. I agree with who said it adds to the interest combined with machine stitching. I have never learned to darn a sock, and it's a kick you posted about that! I do have grannie's darning egg somewhere...
Your blue and green and black is very striking. I like those dark colors and the little yellow surprise! Well done.
I just love this quilt! The composition is really bold and striking and works so well. My favourite quilt always include some hand stitching too.
I love both green and blue quilts, and combining hand and machine quilting always go so well together.
Love the scrap quilt. It has such great energy. A real pick me up on a dull day.
omgosh more to show!
Your showing illustrates the term repetition in art, and I just love what you've done. LeeAnna at not afraid of color
