Series piece and the current temperature

I did a little bit of work on my Series #1 piece last evening. Here is how the blocks look on the design wall today. I added strips of the striped fabric that I had screen printed.

Here are four more blocks ready to be sewn together.

This weekend I plan on working on this piece and getting another UFO pin basted. I will be going to visit my son tomorrow so not a lot of sewing will happen. I need to make sure I get some done tonight and work hard at it on Sunday.

I didn't go out walking after work because the temperature was dropping fast and the snow that had melted was re-freezing across the roads and sidewalks. It was 14 degrees when I left work. This morning my car showed 5 degrees as I pulled into the parking lot.

I will be the first one to complain when it gets over 75 degrees, but I would just like to see the 40's!
