I made the last two blocks for this quilt last evening. I will sew these twelve blocks together before I decide if I am going to make the quilt a bit bigger with borders.
I don't use a pattern, it is all improv pieced. Yes, it is reminiscent of a basket weave or rail fence design, but I like to think I have put my own spin on it with the choice of fabrics, the improve piecing, the size of the blocks (these will be 16" finished), the intense machine quilting, and the addition of some border. I love making this style of quilt.

I love this pattern. Last year in August at the retreat was was I did the Saints quilt for my nephew Matt.
