Scrap-a-palooza day 27, the DNP, and homemade scones
Call me crazy, but the browns, tans, and creams bin is empty. No, I did not throw them away! LOL!!
Here are all the pieces and parts that I got out of that bin. It wasn't packed like that pink/purple one was thank goodness!
Here is the pile of scraps bins when I started this cutting binge 27 days ago. I don't plan on cutting the homespun or African scraps right now which are in those green boxes.
So this is what is left to cut.
I plan on cutting the black and gray scraps next.
I found this bag in the laundry room that I had forgotten about. It is packed full of scraps that a friend gave me. Add that to the pile!
I am making progress on hand stitching the binding. I will work on it while I watch Monday Night Football.
My neighbors stopped in this evening and gave me a tin of homemade scones. I ate one of the lemon poppyseed scones and it was delicious! I gave them the frozen green bean casserole that came in my honey baked ham gift box and when I make pumpkin pie I will give them one. They are just the best neighbors! They helped me out a lot when I was in the hospital.
Nice neighbors are the best! I was cracking up when you said no, you didn’t throw them away. You have been persistent in getting the scraps dealt with....yay you!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to call it a wrap on the scrap cutting when you get to 31 days or continue until done? You have me thinking about organizing some more.
ReplyDeleteYou have worked through many of your scraps. Congratulations. How fortunate to have such good neighbors, too.

ReplyDeleteDo you have specific quilt patterns you make from specific scraps? Or are these simply your preferred sizes to cut? Curious minds.
ReplyDeleteScones look fantastic! Kind neighbor you have :-)
Yum! Scones! When you were in the hospital...I think I suppressed that memory.
ReplyDeleteYou are making such quickmwork of nothing these projects! You aren't going to have anything to do next week.
