I was lacking much motivation to get anything done last evening. I have to put so much cream around my eyes it makes it hard to see when the cream ends up migrating into my eyes. Then of course it makes it so much harder to get anything done when it is so hard to focus. With this cold the skin around my eyes is extremely dry and just peels like a sunburn. Weird. I still have congestion in my head and ears after 2 1/2 weeks. I know it could be worse, but it sure is getting old.
I did get the miter corners for the binding sewn, the quilt trimmed, and the binding pressed back from the quilt. Sewing on black didn't make it any easier to see what I was doing!
I did get a few rows on the scarf at lunch and after work. The safety pin shows where I started for the day just so I can see how much I got done. The scarf is now 40" long. With it being 9 degrees out this morning, I sure could use this now!
Your scarf is looking great. It will be ready for the cold weather to come. Hope your congestion gets better.
ReplyDeleteAre you taking lots of decongestants? That could be causing your symptoms. I find that if I take them too long that my congestion lingers. Then I stop taking them and start drinking tons of water. Sometimes they just need hydration.
ReplyDeleteBlack bindings are the worst to sew with the best of conditions.
ReplyDeleteLove the texture on the scarf. Sorry to hear you still have cold symptoms. Try "sinus massage"; gentle pressure with fingers on forehead, cheeks and nose. Try moving fingers in small circles. Hope you feel better soon.
