I went to Georgia to visit my sister over Easter. My brother-in-law picked me up at the airport. At baggage claim there was this art installation of these giant ants crawling across the ceiling.
Randy and I stopped and had sushi for lunch. My sister and her kids will not eat sushi so Randy was happy to have someone to eat with. I had eel for the first time.
I waited at her house until she got home from work so I entertained myself by watching the fellows install the lawn at the house behind her.
We made two different chocolate pies
We stopped at two different Goodwill stores looking for t-shirts. I found this Aerosmith shirt.
The was a new fabric store that opened - Handcocks - and I bought three yards of linen.
On Saturday, I coached my sister on how to make the sweet rolls my Mom use to make when we were kids. I didn't get a picture of them iced. They were really good.
We went to Sam's Club and I ate my first brussel sprouts.
I went to church with them and then Randy had to leave and take their daughter to meet at friend at a lake house in Alabama. For lunch we decided to make pizza so here is our Easter dinner.
Kathy took me to the airport and I was home by 8:15. My cold was much better by Friday although it is not completely gone.
Those giant ants are a little eerie! I'm sure they had fun installing it.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had fun at your sisters. Spring colds seem harder to shake than winter ones. Maybe because they seem so "out of season".
Sounds like a great trip!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if maybe you were sick and that's why you hadn't posted. Glad to hear you are feeling better and it sounds like you had an awesome trip! I have to ask, how was the eel? I just can't get myself to order it. . . .
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your post, I'm hungry!! Pizza is the perfect Easter dinner :)
i live in Ga! one big ant bed
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a great time! I love Brussels sprouts. My dad used to say they were cabbages that forgot to grow up!
