Four more courthouse step blocks are done and I managed to get them up on the design wall. They are not in their final places; I'm just sticking them up there so I can see where I am going with this quilt top. 11 made; 9 to go.
I handed off the leather jacket yesterday and the fellow was quite pleased with it. He wasn't sure it fit him anymore, but he tried it on and it was a perfect fit! He said he couldn't wait to show it to his mom. His dad died 5 years ago. He thought the lining fabric was perfect and approved with a big smile the way I fixed the edge of the cuffs and patched the vents at the sleeves. Whew!
That is great news that the jacket fits. Probably all of the softening of the leather made it back into a relaxed jacket instead of a stiff one.
ReplyDeleteYay! Nothing better than handing off a challenging project and having it fit!
ReplyDeleteI know you are happy to be done with the leather jacket but it must have been fun to see him wear it!
