Akron Art Prize 2015 and updates

My t-shirt quilt is now on display for the Akron Art Prize 2015. I will post a picture of the piece hanging at the venue on Friday.

The meet and greet for the artists at the venue where my piece is located (The Nightlight Theater)will be held tomorrow night from 6 - 8 p.m. I decided that I would take a small mockup of how the piece went together for all the non-quilters. I had a lot of questions last year so I thought a mockup would help people's understanding. I went thru my leftover t-shirts and found a small motif that would work for my mockup. I will put it together tonight.

I now have 44% of the flannel quilt quilted. This is the section I worked on last night.

I received a picture of my niece with her quilt.

I'm sure that was special for your niece to have the quilt hand delivered to her.

I'm going to try to bring my brother, who's visiting from New Jersey, around to see the art prize entries tomorrow night. I may see you there.

It seems like that t-shirt quilt came together in record time. Love the drunkard's path quilt you finished!
