Charm, t-shirt quilt, and more

I had forgotten my camera in Charm at the quilt shop. They mailed it to me so now I can post a couple of pictures. Here is the shop just after we opened. Everything is nice and neat.
The next morning everyone got to the shop early to help straighten up the shop.

I had one customer that was buying fabrics to make more of these cute purses.

Friday after the shop closed I was by myself enjoying a beautiful evening. The house I stay at is up the hill from the shop. In this picture to the left is Mrs. Miller log cabin which can be rented out, in the center with the stairway is the Rural Thimble retreat house that can be rented out, to the right of the Rural Thimble is the quilt shop and to the right of the shop is the building that has flannel, minky, homespuns, books, patterns, quilts and other gift items for sale.

This is the house I stay at when I work at the shop.

My room is the corner room on the first floor. I have already been asked to work at Charm Days in October and of course I said yes.

Friday night I went over to my newphew's, Michael, high school for a night of music by the Gold Tones, a jazz style band, and all the choirs. Some of these pictures are dark, but we were not allowed to use flash so they are what they are. The Gold Tones have trombones, trumpets, saxophones, piano, percussion player, guitar player which is Michael, and a drummer which is Michael's drummer for his band The Michael Weber Show. They did change from black jackets to white one half way thru the event.

I sewed together the backing and pin basted the t-shirt quilt on Saturday.

Sunday I decided to work on an anniversary quilt. I need to have this done by early July so I thought I had better get crackin' on it. I don't like the way it is going so far

I have more blocks to make from this fabric so I am not going to panic yet. Once I add some of the lighter fabrics something will come to me.
