Progess quilting and making soup

I got my bobbins wound and started quilting one of the music baby quilts. Here is a look

Last evening I put together a big pot of vegetable beef soup. I had cooked the chuck roast in water on Sunday and had the broth in the fridge so I could skim off any fat. So the broth, shredded beef, pureed tomatoes, celery, green beans, carrots, yellow wax beans, cauliflower, chopped broccoli, kale, and spinach went in the pot to simmer. I added some Wochershire (you know that Lee and Perins stuff - I can't spell this morning!)sauce, salt and pepper too. The house smelled divine! I put some in the freezer and will get quite a few meals out of this.

The mailman brought me my new Yak Trax. I bought a bigger pair than the pair I had that were given to me. I will be ready for the next snow storm! Right now it is 36 degree and overcast. We have had a lot of rain the last couple of days.

The mailman also brought me some fabric. I found more of that red drum fabric on esty so I bought 3 yards. Then I found this other drum fabric and they had 1 yard and 8". Even with shipping they were both reasonably priced. I am trying not to buy fabric unless I can truly justify it. Fabric with drums on it - I need.

I will be there for dinner. I have some nice gluten free bread I can bring!

I like those fabrics. I may need to do a music quilt. You got me wanting one.
