Musical baby quilt progress

I wasn't as productive and I could have been, but I at least got the top made for one of the two baby quilts I need to make for my brother's friends. Here is the first one and it will be for the lead singer.

I went thru my stash of musical fabric looking for the fabric for the second quilt which will be for the drummer. Here is the fabric that I found that had drums on it - just bits and pieces! Glory what am I going to do with this?

I do have about a yard and a half of this fabric along with a couple of 4" x full width strips.

And I have about a third of a yard of this red background fabric

So out of my stash of musical fabric shown here

I am finding I don't have much fabric featuring drums. I have realized over the years that fabric with drums on it is hard to find! So I would appreciate it if any of my readers come across any you would take a picture of it and let me know where it is located so I could contact the shop and purchase the fabric. In the meantime, I will have to figure out what to do with this fabric bits and pieces.

I did get a couple pieces of orange fabric I bought last year washed and pressed. I am going to try hard not to buy fabric (of course unless it has drums on it!) this year and use my stash. We see how that goes!

I walked to work again today. It is 18 degrees and I actually got too hot so I unzipped my coat the last quarter of my walk. It had rained yesterday and last night which reduced the snow on the ground, but then it turned to snow this morning so it was a bit icy out walking. Thank goodness for my Yak Trax's! Officials called off school today and tomorrow because it is suppose to be in the single digits tomorrow. They have the snow days so I guess they might a well burn them.

Maybe you could do some sort of wonky log cabin block with the drum fabrics. Make the centers big with what drum fabric you have and then generic music fabric for the logs. Would something like that work?
