18th & 19th block done - where did the weekend go?

My goodness this weekend just flew by. Here was my list. I did get some of the kitchen cleaned up, but it is not done so I couldn't cross it off the list.

Saturday morning was Home Depot, haircut, and Marc's. I did some sewing until it was time to get ready and head to the Art museum's wine auction. Here are some photos of the event. I worked from 5 to 10 p.m.

Sunday I worked on the yellow and gray quilt and got block 19 quilted. I can't believe I only managed to get two blocks quilted this weekend. That leaves 11 more to quilt. I don't think I will have this quilt done before Peg comes this weekend. So that is another 512 square inches quilts for a total of 3,325 for the Quilt your Quilts Challenge.

Next I decided to put the first coat of paint on the office room.

While I was painting I saw a deer wandering thru the neighborhood.

After painting I washed dishes, then it was out to mow. After mowing I planted some dianthus seeds in the front flower bed and had to move my Gerber Daisies. Why? Here is one of the plants with flowers

Here are the other two plants that HAD orange and yellow flowers, but the deer came along and ate the flowers.

So I moved the daisies to an area between the Lenten roses. Lenten roses are poisonous to deer so maybe they won't chance trying to eat the daisies. I want to save the Gerber daisies as these were a Mother's day gift. I will have to let my son know that the deer like my present too!

The canna still look a bit sad, but some of the leaves are greening up. It warmed up yesterday and with all the rain we are getting today, that ought to help them. I should have thrown down some fertilizer for them. I will have to do that between rain showers this week.

I spray painted two more shadowbox frames, but they need a second coat so I could not finish these.

LOL! I think you out-busyed me this weekend!!!

I wonder if mothballs would work on keeping deer way. They work on cats.
